Harmony of a society is based on the harmony of people’s soul, because society is an
interpersonal relationship network within which people’s unhealthy psychological status will
lead to problems occurring to this network. Social conflicts such as violence, fighting,
betrayal, and indifference are all the reflections of people’s psychological conflicts. Personal
conflicts result from stress and stress come from influences which people’s living
environment has on their mentality. So that forms a circulation system, which can be positive
and healthy as long as people have a healthy psychological condition, otherwise negative and
unhealthy.

我们曾经做过一些关于农村心理援助的工作，取得很好的效果，比如地震等灾害出现时，我们机构的心理专家总是第一时间赶到受灾的农村去救助。而在非灾害时期，农村的心理援助也是非常紧迫的，社会的变革和发展影响力已经不只局限于都市了，农村居民大量在城里务工，他们把很多变化都传递到乡村，而且还有现在非常发达的网络电视等到媒体，变化产生新的需求，需求的提升不被满足就会冲突。农村每年的自杀率始终是最高的，这也说明了心理问题的突出性和急迫性。但目前都是我们机构自发提供一些帮助，受制于财力物力人力的限制，我们不能做更多工作是非常遗憾的，所以我们也非常需要更多国际国内包括财、物、人等方面的支持，我们才会更有效的把专业帮助带到农村去。
We have provided some psychological assistance for rural areas before and have received
good effects and feedbacks. For example, when natural disasters such as earthquake happened,
many psycho-therapists of my center immediately went to the stricken regions to offer
psychological help. However even there’s no natural disaster occurring, the assistance in the
rural areas is also very critical, because social transformation and development has impact on
rural areas as well as on urban areas which results from several elements such as -- a large
number of rural residents come to big cities to work and they bring the changes in cities to
their hometowns; very advanced media such as network television appear. Those impacts will
lead to new needs emerging. If those needs can’t be met, conflicts will occur. In addition, the
percentage of number of people committing suicide is highest in rural areas, which is a very
good and clear demonstration that rural areas are in urgent need of getting psychological
problems tackled. My psychological consultation center is always dedicated to offering
psychological help voluntarily. But unfortunately our efforts are limited due to our limited
resources such as capital, substances and labor. So we really feel regretted for that and we
sincerely hope we can get more support from both home and abroad in such ways as capital,
substances and labor to enable us to bring professional assistance to rural areas more
effectively.
